Our cultivation method is distinguished by the exclusive utilization of organic fertilizers, including natural predators of parasites such as microorganisms and insects, along with natural fertilizers. This approach stands in stark contrast to traditional cultivation methods, which rely on synthetic chemical fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pesticides in general, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
BIOLOGICAL
In a nutshell, this is what organic means.
PESTICIDES
It does not mean that the food is derived from an organic chain.
The Zero Pesticides certification guarantees that our food is free from residues of chemicals typically used to maintain crop health, including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, growth regulators, and repellents.
The chemical contamination of food presents significant health hazards and can stem from various sources, with one common cause being the migration of contaminants from packaging materials into food.
An illustrative example is the presence of bisphenol A (BPA), utilized in the production of polycarbonates, which can leach into food from bottles or other plastic packaging. EU legislation has established a specific migration limit (SML) for BPA.
CHEMICALS
No to the use of chemicals in agriculture.
NITRITES
Nitrites serve to preserve food in the long term
Nitrites play a crucial role in preserving food over the long term, particularly in the cured meat processing industry. They enable the preservation of product characteristics even when using lower quality raw materials.
However, it is entirely feasible to produce cured meats without nitrites and nitrates:
- Using top quality meats;
- Observing sanitary hygienic rules;
- Respecting the seasonal product life cycle.
Currently, within the European Union, certain species including hens, rabbits, quails, sows, calves, and ducks are legally confined either wholly or partially throughout their lives.
This means that over 300 million animals are subjected to a cruel system that deprives them of their freedoms, preventing them from expressing their natural behaviors.
End the cage age
The end of any type of cage use to raise animals for food.
Gluten Free
Everything you need to know about the words "Gluten free" or gluten free on some foods.
Being Gluten Free goes beyond just the absence of gluten among the ingredients; it also ensures the elimination of potential sources of contamination throughout the entire production process.
Crafting Italian cuisine is an art that demands experience, tradition, and above all, patience. Indeed, patience stands as the primary ingredient in this endeavor.
HANDMADE
Artisan food "handmade" as pasta, bread, pastries, pizza
No FOOD COLORING
Dyes are not food: for this reason, the legislation considers them "additives"
Preservatives, emulsifiers, flavor enhancers, and antioxidants are classified as "additives."
Products containing additives are required to disclose this information in the ingredient list.
The origin of the raw materials is fully traceable.
The NON-GMO certification assures consumers that GMOs are not used in the food production processes.
NO GENETICALLY MODIFIED
Completely free of genetically modified organisms
NO ANTIBIOTICS
NO HORMONES
When animals are treated with antibiotics, hormones, or anabolic steroids, residues of these drugs may persist in their meat or milk.
Such residues may pose a risk to the consumer's health.
There is widespread abuse of antibiotics in farms.
Around 70% of the antibiotics sold in Italy are designated for animal use.
Among EU countries, Italy ranks second in antibiotics sales intended for farm animals.
The overuse of antibiotics in farms contributes to the proliferation of antibiotic resistance, even among humans.
Antibiotic resistance poses a significant risk to human health.
It is a white powder that may be utilized to enhance the color of food, preserve its original appearance at the time of consumption, prolong shelf life, and disguise the absence of certain nutritious ingredients.
NO MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE
Monosodium glutamate (or sodium glutamate or MSG or E621) is an additive used as a "flavor enhancer", that is, as a flavor enhancer of foods.
VEGAN
"The vegan is the one who eats everything without eating anyone."
The term "vegan" refers to an individual who has consciously chosen to exclude all animal-derived foods from their daily diet.
A vegan abstains from consuming meat (including fish), eggs, dairy products, and honey.
